Ceratophyllum demersum is a floating plant very easy to grow: just keep a rod of it floating and it will grow up until it overshadows the whole aquarium.
It is perfectly suited to newly set up aquariums, as it absorbs nitrates and helps to stabilize the filter, but also to mature aquariums.
It is suitable to protect fry, which can use it as a hiding place, and they can also find food in it, like microparticles of food and micro-organisms that are collected from its leaves.
It is also very useful if you raise anabantidae fish, who really appreciate to build in it their bubble nest.
Multiplication: For lateral shoots and cuttings
